Global
Awareness of Latin American Countries Contest!
The
Mayor of Spartanville is having a contest! The winner of the contest will be the
person who can best communicate the unique achievements and cultural
significance of their country!
To enter the contest you will submit a 5
paragraph essay sharing the most significant data about your country. You will research to determine the 3 most
important achievements and/or facts that you want the world to know about your
country. You will have to support why you feel your information is the most
important for people to gain global awareness of your country. Not only will you create a 5 paragraph
report, you will also present your information in front of the Mayor and
Council.
Mrs.
Smith and Mrs. DeVries will help guide you through the contest requirements. As you begin to research your country, focus
on the following:

Natural or Manmade landmarks
·
Economy-what do they produce that
benefits the world
·
Historical event that showed the
country had grit
·
Human Resources- Inventors, Leaders,
etc.
·
A “Wow” event/accomplishment/fact
You
will be campaigning, so to speak, for your country. If a person was deciding
where to live and it was between your country or a country across the Atlantic,
what would you want them to know that would convince them they are going to
live in greatest country in Latin America?
